Join a family of folks who love local history and want to make a difference in their community. Many volunteer opportunities are available; you can choose your schedule and help as much or as little as you want. Not only is this a rewarding experience, it’s a whole lot of fun!

All volunteers participate in training where they learn all about Will Rogers and the Museum. After training, volunteers can choose areas in which to work.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

On-Site Volunteer

• Greet guests, answer questions and give tours around the museum.

Event Volunteer

• Help with events like our Wild West Kids Camp, school field trips, or parades.

Hands-On Historians

• Teach children and visitors about history with 19th century activities like butter churning, candle dipping, rope making and others.

Collections Volunteer

• Work with our curator scanning and organizing images in the collection.

There is something for everyone!

Our volunteers also enjoy field trips and activities outside the museum. Twice a year they go on trips to local museums and share in an award dinner at Christmas time. If you’re looking for a place to get involved, make friends and plug into your community, volunteer with us!

If you are interested in volunteering at the Memorial Museum, you may fill in the online form below and a staff member will be in touch.
